Pumpkins are a specific type of squash in North America that is usually orange in color. In some places, however, any winter squash can be called a pumpkin. While this may be a bit confusing for those of us in North America, it is refreshing to know that there are more things to do with a pumpkin than carve it or make it into a pie.

Baking requires a ton of patience and a lot of knowledge to make quality desserts that every one will enjoy and eat before you even get a chance to taste it.

Cobblers are an American deep-dish fruit dessert or pie with a thick doughy and golden brown crust (usually a biscuit crust) and a fruit filling (such as peaches, apples, berries). Some versions are enclosed in the crust, while others have a drop-biscuit or crumb topping. Knowing how most things are invented, it wouldn’t surprise me if some person had leftover peaches and biscuit dough and decided to just combine them with a little sugar. Nice, warm and golden brown out of the oven.
