Alien 3: Ellen Ripley and her surviving friends are flying through space after battling the Aliens. They crash land on a desolate planet that has a prison colony as the inhabitants. Unfortunately, an alien has stowed away on the ship, and is now loose on this new world.

Jacob’s Ladder: Brooding, often powerful story of Vietnam vet who agonizes from delusions, which may or might not be connected to his everyday life in N.Y.C. Frightening tale leads to a apex that-like a poor hairy-mutt the whole film! Bruce Joel Rubin’s script is comparable to Ambrose Bierce’s classic “An Happening at Owl Creek Bridge,” only not as excellent. Macaulay Culkin appears unbilled in a key aiding role. 2 removed scenes were amalgamated for the film’s cable Television debut. The Last Time I saw Paris: Updated rendition of F. Scott Fitzgerald tale, set in post-WW2 Paris, of wrecked matrimonies and disenchanted individuals. The cast includes Elizabeth Taylor, Van Johnson, Donna Reed, Eva Gabor, George Dolenz, and Roger Moore. (116 minutes, 1954)

Groundhog Day: The strangest thing is happening to TV reporter Phil. Bored out of his mind after doing Ground Hog Day for the fourth straight year, he wakes up the next morning, and it’s Ground Hog Day again. Every day he wakes up, and again it’s Ground Hog Day. Will it ever end?

Music for Millions: Teary story of battle-newlywed Allyson, a cellist in Iturbi’s orchestra, gallantly delaying to have a toddler for her spouse’s return. O’Brien is her precocious baby sibling. When there’s lots of Chopin and Debussy, Durante robs the film with boredom. Cast includes Margaret O’Brien, Jimmy Durante, June Allyson, Marsha Seek, Hugh Herbert, Marie Wilson, Larry Adler, and Ethel Griffies. (120 minutes, 1944)
